bc no matter what the civil law is a medical/mental health professional cannot ethically do that.
This is so problematic… What is wrong with this country? Therapists don’t have the Hippocratic oath. However, their oath includes the promise to “keep them (their patients -clients) from harm and injustice.“ as well as the following phrases:
“I will speak up against torture, exploitation and violence, and tolerate no bullying.”
“I will protect those who are vulnerable…”
“I will be silent when it is time to be silent, protecting the sacred oath of confidentiality.”
