The problem, in one picture.
I never realized until seeing this picture that my interpretation of an average size woman has become REALLY SKEWED oh my god I wanna cry
This reminds me of something Portia de Rossi said in an interview. When she was anorexic she would compare her measurements to that of a mannequin:
“It occurred to me to measure the mannequins and to measure myself against them and try to be as small as them, and believe it or not, I don’t think I ever was. That just shows you how crazy these images are that we’re given as women.”
At her lowest weight she was 82 pounds.

You can tell the audience is struggling to not aknowledge accurate this is since the accuracy is the funny part.
guys never realize that.
Why play games though? Just come out and say no, don’t seem to hard.

- A woman says no, I will not sleep with you, and a man go on a shooting spree.
- A woman says no, I will not give you my number, and is shot outside the club.
- A woman says no, I don’t want you to buy me a drink, and a man shattered a glass across her face.
- A woman say no, I’m a lesbian, and a man shoots both her and her girlfriend while they slept in their home.
- A woman says no, I don’t want to be with you any more, and a man stabs her to death and murders her dog.
- A woman says no, stop harassing these teenagers, and a group of men beat her to death with stones and bats, smashing her skull on the pavement.
- A woman says no, we aren’t married any more, leave me alone, and a man shoots her to death.
- A woman says no, we work together but I’m not interested in you romantically, and a man shoots her to death whilst she’s working.
- A woman says no, I don’t want to sleep with you, and a man rapes, murders and then hangs her from a tree.
- A woman says no, I’m not interested, and a man slashes her neck open.
- A woman says no, I never cheated on you, and a man beats her.
- A woman says no, I want a divorce, and a man cuts her neck open and stabs her multiple times.
You want us to start telling you no? You don’t want us to play games? Teach your fellow men to stop murdering us for it.

I say this without a shred of irony:

I’ve said this before and I’ll point it out again –
Menstruation is caused by change in hormonal levels to stop the creation of a uterine lining and encourage the body to flush the lining out. The body does this by lowering estrogen levels and raising testosterone.
Or, to put it more plainly “That time of the month” is when female hormones most closely resemble male hormones. So if (cis) women aren’t suited to office at “That time of the month” then (cis) men are NEVER suited to office.
If you are a dude and don’t dig the ladies around you at their time of the month, just think! That is you all of the time.
And, on a final note, post-menopausal (cis) women are the most hormonally stable of all human demographics. They have fewer hormonal fluctuations of anyone, meaning older women like Hilary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren would theoretically be among the least likely candidates to make an irrational decision due to hormonal fluctuations, and if we were basing our leadership decisions on hormone levels, then only women over fifty should ever be allowed to hold office.

So I recently got surgery two weeks ago and on the day of the surgery, they had me waiting in a cold room in just a gown because they had to do a pregnancy test. I had just gotten off my period literally two days ago and unless I was miraculously the next Virgin Mary, I’m 100% not pregnant. The nurse barely looks up from her charts to acknowledges this before insisting that I had to take another test. If I didn’t take another one, they would immediately cancel my surgery. It was hospital policy.
I’ve had this condition all my life but its gotten completely unbearable the past few years and I’ve been actively going to the doctors the last two years trying different methods to allievate my pain and this surgery was my last chance at any type of pain free life. It took 6 months to schedule and if I had to wait another second, I was going kill somebody. Safe to say I was a little pissed. I sat in that freezing room, irritated with an IV needle sticking in my hand, waiting on the nurse to find records of my pee test that I did less than a two week ago at their request. She couldn’t find the test results. She handed me an empty container with a cheery smile and an obnoxious prep talk that I did not ask for and told me to fill it.
One of the preparatory requirements they gave me was that the night before the surgery I couldn’t consume any foods or liquid (water especially). So I couldn’t pee. I asked for some water and she reluctantly gave me a cup with two sip fulls.
My surgery was scheduled for 9 A.M, they told me to come in at 7:30 A.M. It was already 11:41 A.M. when I had to retake the test and I didn’t go in until almost 1 P.M. The fact that I had to go through that extra hoop and have the threat of my surgery being cancelled hung over me like a noose just because of a pregnancy test is beyond aggravating. People love perpetually valuing the potential of a possible fetus over the lives of already living women. We always seem to come second no matter what.
That’s sounds extremely stressful. I’m sorry you had to go through that on top of everything else. We aren’t effing incubators!

Absolutely astounded, dumbfounded this man that he should possibly be doing anything for his wife other than merely Exist as her husband

i’d hate to be a high schooler in this day and age. i see young ass girls on youtube doing “grwm freshman year” full beat 28 inch wigs and its like……. when i was in high school you’d be lucky if we didnt show up in our pajamas. maybe a lil mascara here n there. idk i just feel bad that there’s so much sexual pressure on these younger girls because of social media
I dont even feel bad because its all a choice tbh
im not gonna jump on you for this response because you’re only 19 but you saying that young girls being forced to conform to societal standards is a “choice” aint it chief. nobody chooses to be negatively impacted by sexism and the male gaze it just kind of happens. it’s insidious. and definitely not by choice
