Until Accepting Anxiety arc, Virgil was unable to eat anything made by Patton because Patton adds love into every food he makes. Virgil physically couldn’t eat it because he didn’t believe that he was loved and accepted hence to which he wasn’t able to “take” the food.

Scars appear on Virgil depending on how he’s feeling. If he’s feeling “people hate me” sad, there’s a scar on his chest. “I’ll never do anything” sad, scars on his arms/wrists. “I don’t want to do anything,” scars on his legs. Flashbacks to his time with the Dark Side, scars on his back. That’s why he wears long sleeves/pants.
